Terms of Service

India-focused service. RightKnock is currently designed and operated primarily for job seekers in India pursuing employment opportunities in the Indian market. These Terms are governed by Indian law.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RightKnock ("the Service," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY / REGISTERED NAME REQUIRED] ("RightKnock").

2. Eligibility

You may use RightKnock only if:

You are at least 18 years of age
You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
You are using the Service for your own personal job search, and not on behalf of another person without their explicit authorisation
Your use does not violate any applicable law in your jurisdiction

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must:

Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account
Not share your account credentials with any other person
Sign out of your account when using shared devices

You are responsible for all outreach emails sent through your account, including any that were approved and dispatched using the RightKnock service.

4. Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your profile, uploading your resume, and configuring your career preferences. You must not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, skills, or years of experience. Any misrepresentation in outreach emails sent through RightKnock is your sole responsibility.

5. Description of the Service

RightKnock provides the following capabilities:

Job discovery: Aggregating publicly listed job opportunities from job boards (currently primarily Indeed India) that match your career profile and preferences.
Fit scoring: Calculating a match score between your profile and each job listing based on your stated skills, experience level, and career track. Scores are computed deterministically by RightKnock's own algorithm — no third-party AI model is used.
Contact discovery: Identifying publicly available decision-makers (e.g. hiring managers) relevant to a given job opportunity, from public sources only.
Outreach drafting and approval: Drafting personalised referral emails that you must review and explicitly approve before sending.
Gmail-based dispatch: Sending approved outreach emails and follow-ups from your own connected Gmail account, with your PDF resume attached where configured.
Activity and interview tracking: Maintaining a log of outreach activity, recruiter replies, and application status.

6. India-Focused Employment Market Scope

RightKnock is currently designed and optimised for job seekers pursuing employment opportunities in India. Job discovery is currently configured to search the Indian employment market. If you are searching for opportunities outside India, results may be limited, incomplete, or unavailable.

RightKnock does not guarantee the availability, completeness, or accuracy of job listings for any specific geography, sector, or employer.

7. Job Listing and Third-Party Source Disclaimer

Job listings displayed in RightKnock are sourced from publicly available third-party job boards and may not be verified by RightKnock for accuracy, currency, or legitimacy. RightKnock is not a recruiter, staffing agency, or employment service. We do not create, post, or endorse any job listing.

You should independently verify the authenticity and legitimacy of any job opportunity before applying or engaging with any employer or recruiter.

8. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Important: RightKnock does not guarantee, represent, or warrant that using the Service will result in a job offer, interview invitation, referral, callback, or any other employment outcome. Results depend on many factors outside RightKnock's control, including employer hiring decisions, market conditions, the content of your profile and resume, and the quality of the outreach emails you approve.

Any statistics, match scores, or projections shown in the Service are estimates based on algorithmic calculation and do not constitute promises of performance.

9. Your Responsibility for Outreach Content

You are solely responsible for the content of every outreach email you approve and send through RightKnock. By approving an outreach email, you confirm that:

The content is accurate and truthful
You have the right to contact the recipient in this manner
The email does not contain false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, or illegal content
You are sending the email as a personal professional inquiry, not as a bulk commercial communication

RightKnock provides templates and drafts as a starting point. You retain full editorial control and are responsible for reviewing and approving each email before it is sent.

10. Gmail Authorisation

To use RightKnock's outreach features, you must authorise RightKnock to send emails on your behalf using your Google Gmail account via OAuth 2.0. By doing so, you:

Authorise RightKnock to send outreach emails and follow-ups that you have approved, from your Gmail account
Authorise RightKnock to detect replies to those specific outreach threads
Acknowledge that these emails will appear as sent from your personal Gmail address
Accept that you are solely responsible for all emails sent through RightKnock using your Gmail account

You may revoke this authorisation at any time by disconnecting your Gmail account within RightKnock's settings, and by revoking access from your Google Account security settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree to use RightKnock only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Use the Service for any purpose other than your own personal job search
Attempt to circumvent any rate limits, daily email caps, or other usage restrictions built into the Service
Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email, spam, or any communication that violates applicable anti-spam laws
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or qualifications in outreach emails
Use the Service to harass, threaten, or abuse any recipient
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or any other user's account
Use automated scripts or tools to interact with the Service beyond what is explicitly provided by RightKnock's interface
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract any proprietary code or algorithms from the Service
Use the Service in any way that violates the terms of service of Google's Gmail API, or any other third-party service integrated with RightKnock

12. Prohibited Conduct — Abuse, Spam, and Harassment

RightKnock includes built-in protections designed to ensure professional, respectful outreach: daily email limits, minimum cooldown periods between contacts at the same company, and mandatory human approval before any email is sent. You must not attempt to bypass these protections.

Any use of RightKnock that causes harm, harassment, reputational damage, or legal liability to any recipient, employer, or third party is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension and legal action.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

RightKnock reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

You violate these Terms or our Privacy Policy
We receive credible reports of abuse, spam, or harassment originating from your account
Your use of the Service creates legal or reputational risk for RightKnock or third parties
Required by applicable law or regulation

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

14. Third-Party Services

RightKnock integrates with or relies on third-party services including Google OAuth / Gmail API, public job boards, and payment processing providers. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. RightKnock is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service.

15. Intellectual Property

The RightKnock name, logo, interface design, algorithms, and all proprietary software are owned by RightKnock and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. These Terms do not grant you any licence to use RightKnock's intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the Service as described herein.

You retain all rights to your personal data, resume content, and career profile information that you upload to RightKnock. By uploading this content, you grant RightKnock a limited licence to process and use it solely to provide the Service to you.

16. Service Availability

RightKnock makes no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, third-party service outages, or events outside our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from Service unavailability.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

RightKnock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
RightKnock shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of employment opportunities, revenue, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
RightKnock's total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to RightKnock in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹500 (Indian Rupees five hundred), whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits RightKnock's liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

18. Changes to the Service and These Terms

RightKnock may update, modify, or discontinue the Service or any feature of it at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located at [JURISDICTION / CITY REQUIRED — e.g. the courts at Bengaluru / Mumbai / Delhi as applicable to your registered office], India.
